Chief Hon. Kenneth Okafor Welcomes President Tinubu to Imo State, Hails Shared Vision with Governor Uzodimma

Chief Hon. Kenneth Okafor (KSJI), the Honourable Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs in Imo State, has extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as he arrives on an official visit to the Eastern Heartland.

Speaking on behalf of his family and the people of Imo State, Chief Okafor described the President’s visit as both timely and symbolic. He praised the visit as a strong validation of the transformational leadership of Governor Hope Uzodimma and a reinforcement of the synergy between the state and federal governments.

“On behalf of my family and the good people of Imo State, I heartily welcome His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Your visit comes at a defining moment in our journey as a people and serves as a beacon of unity and renewed purpose,” Chief Okafor stated.

He emphasized the importance of the major infrastructure projects set to be commissioned during the visit. These include the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre, the Assumpta Flyover, five newly constructed general hospitals in Umuokanne, Oguta, Omuma, Mbano, and Mgbidi, along with the dualized Owerri-Orlu Road, Orlu-Umuchima-Akokwa Road, Mgbidi-Oguta Road, and Owerri-Okigwe Road.

“These monumental strides are a testament to the effective partnership between the Federal Government, under President Tinubu’s leadership, and the Imo State Government, under Governor Uzodimma. They reflect a shared vision for inclusive growth, people-focused development, and sustainable transformation,” Chief Okafor said.

As Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Chief Okafor highlighted that good governance is not only measured by the scale of infrastructure but by the positive impact such projects have on everyday lives.

“True governance is felt when people’s lives are uplifted. The roads, hospitals, and infrastructure being delivered are touching lives directly. They speak to the humanitarian essence of development,” he concluded.

Welcoming the President once more, Chief Okafor expressed optimism that the visit would further inspire the people and deepen the commitment to building a greater Imo within a stronger and more united Nigeria.
