The Abuja Chapter of the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) held its general meeting and election of new executive officers on Thursday, 11 December, marking yet another milestone in the chapter’s commitment to internal democracy, leadership continuity, and organizational development.

In an orderly and transparent process, all candidates emerged unopposed, reflecting the chapter’s unity and shared purpose. Rear Admiral Francis Isaac (Rtd) was re-elected as Chairman of the AANI Abuja Chapter, a clear testament to the confidence and trust members continue to place in his leadership, dedication, and service to the Association.

During the announcement of the new executives, the president of AANI, Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor, mni, congratulated the officers on their emergence and commended the chapter for its harmonious electoral process. He stated that the smooth and uncontested election demonstrated the maturity, cohesion, and strategic alignment within the Abuja Chapter.

President Okafor also used the occasion to reaffirm AANI’s unwavering commitment to supporting Nigeria’s national development agenda, particularly in the area of security. He emphasized that AANI, as a body of senior professionals trained in strategic leadership and policy management, remains uniquely positioned to contribute to national security discourse, peacebuilding, and conflict resolution.

He assured members that the Association would continue to deploy its wealth of expertise to support government efforts in tackling insecurity across the country. According to him, AANI stands ready to collaborate with all levels of government and relevant institutions to help build a safer, more peaceful, and more prosperous nation.

The newly elected Abuja Chapter executives are expected to bring renewed energy, strategic focus, and inclusive engagement to their roles as they serve the interests of members and advance the values of the National Institute.

With unity strengthened and leadership affirmed, the AANI Abuja Chapter looks ahead to a productive and impactful term under the guidance of its re-elected chairman.
