One Year After Ajaero’s Detention, NLC Says Struggle Continues

In a statement, the union described Ajaero’s ordeal as a symbol of the challenges faced by workers in their fight for justice. It reaffirmed its commitment to defending workers’ rights, improving wages, and pushing back against policies it considers anti-labour.

The NLC urged government and security agencies to respect civil rights, insisting that intimidation cannot silence the voice of Nigerian workers.
