Police said 14 of the injured were children, with two in critical condition. Doctors, however, expect all of the wounded children to survive.

The attacker, who was armed with multiple weapons including a rifle, shotgun and pistol, took his own life before officers could intervene. Authorities believe he acted alone.

Investigators are still searching for a motive, while the FBI has confirmed it is treating the case as a possible act of terrorism.
